The subject of Rachana Sharir is one of the basic subjects of medical science. Students of medical science will need a sound knowledge of Rachana Sharir (Anatomy) of human body to deal with the clinical domain. The Rachana Sharir department provide exposure to cadaver, specimen etc. to the students.
Kriya Sharir is the domain of Ayurveda associated with the study of all the physiological process occurring in the human body. The department also deals with physiology and Bio-Chemistry in modern science.
Rog Nidan Evam Viriti Vigyana is an essential part of ayurveda that is useful in early diagnosis of diseases and deals with classification of diseases and techniques of diagnosis. Rog Nidan evam Viriti Vigyana deals with the factors which are important to understand the origin of disease as well as pathogenesis, diagnosis and investigations of the disease. It also deals with aetio-pathological and clinical pathological studies of disease. Rog Nidan also helps to understand Dosha-Dushya & mala kashya-vridhilakshan and dosha-sammurchana.
Agada Tantra is a branch of Ayurveda which deals with identification, diagnosis & treatment of various Visha conditions. Department works in domains like organ toxicities caused by routine food and medicine, antidotal activities, environmental toxicity, residual and cumulative toxicity etc. Department is well equipped with museum specimens of various toxic drugs, Venomous and non venomous snakes and other animals and models.
It deals with medicinal plants of Ayurveda classics, their identification, properties, action & therapeutic uses in accordance with fundamental principles of Ayurveda. It is well established for one to exposure of Dravayagun vigyana, pharmacology & pharmacognosy. Dravyaguna is an integral part of ayurveda with deals comprehensively about Rasa, Guna, Virya, Vipaka & Prabhava (Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacodynamics) of herbs.
The department of Ras Shastra & Bhaishyajya Kalpana is also known as the department of iatrochemistry & Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics. It explains about principles of Ayurvedic drugs formulations and its practical implications. It is meant for the teaching and evaluation of the Ayurvedic drags to improve their quality. It deals with Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics and Ayurvedic Pharmacology.
Swasthavritta is one among the branch of Ayurveda which deals with prevention of diseases through the lifestyle modification, diet counseling, following daily & seasonal regimens & behavior, yoga & naturopathy therapies. Educating & empowering individuals with the information to promote their health.

Kayachikitsa is the first branch among Ashtanga Ayurveda that deals with general medicine. It comprehensely deals with diagnosis, assessment of patients, investigation and effective medical management of various disease according to the principles of Ayurveda.

Panchkarma is a unique bio-purifacatory therapies described in Ayurveda through which almost all the disorders mentioned in different branches of Ayurveda can be treated. Five purification methods are followed in the Panchkarma cleansing Therapy namely, Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana.
