The department deals with the basic principles of Ayurveda and various classical text books of
Ayurveda. This pre- clinical department is also known as Department of Basic principles.

DEPARTMENT OF RACHANA SHARIR
The subject of Rachana Sharir is one of the basic subjects of medical science. Students of
medical science will need a sound knowledge of Rachana Sharir (Anatomy) of human body to
deal with the clinical domain. The Rachana Sharir DEPARTMENT provide exposure to cadaver,
specimen etc. to the students.

understanding of subject.

DEPARTMENT OF KRIYA SHARIR
Kriya Sharir is the domain of Ayurveda associated with the study of all the physiological
process occurring in the human body. The department also deals with physiology and Bio-
Chemistry in modern science. Kriya Sharir department having following

DEPARTMENT OF ROG NIDAN
Rog Nidan Evam Viriti Vigyana is an essential part of ayurveda that is useful in early diagnosis
of diseases and deals with classification of diseases and techniques of diagnosis. Rog Nidan
evam Viriti Vigyana deals with the factors which are important to understand the origin of
disease as well as pathogenesis, diagnosis and investigations of the disease. It also deals with
aetio-pathological and clinical pathological studies of disease. Rog Nidan also helps to
understand Dosha- Dushya & mala kashya-vridhilakshan and dosha-sammurchana.

DEPARTMENT OF AGADA TANTRA
Agada Tantra is a branch of Ayurveda which deals with identification, diagnosis & treatment of
various Visha conditions. Department works in domains like organ toxicities caused by routine
food and medicine, antidotal activities, environmental toxicity, residual and cumulative toxicity
etc...
Department is well equipped with museum specimens of various toxic drugs, Venomous and
non venomous snakes and other animals and models.
DEPARTMENT OF DRAVYAGUN VIGYAN
It deals with medicinal plants of Ayurveda classics, their identification, properties, action &
therapeutic uses in accordance with fundamental principles of Ayurveda. It is well established
for one to exposure of Dravayagun vigyana, pharmacology & pharmacognosy. Dravyaguna is
an integral part of ayurveda with deals comprehensively about Rasa, Guna, Virya, Vipaka &
Prabava (Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacodynamics) of herbs.
Facilities-
A well maintain medicinal plants garden with area of more than 4400 Sq/mtr with covered
demonstration area & in house irrigation facility having 250 plants species.
Dravyaguna department timely organizes & participates in different seminars, workshop,
exhibitions, CME Programmes, webinars & different related academic activities.
DEPARTMENT OF RAS SHASTRA & BHAISHYAJYA KALPANA
The department of Ras Shastra & Bhaishyajya Kalpana is also known as the department of
iatrochemistry & Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics. It explains about principles of Ayurvedic drugs
formulations and its practical implications. It is meant for the teaching and evaluation of the
Ayurvedic drags to improve their quality. It deals with Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics and Ayurvedic
Pharmacology.

Swasthavritta is one among the branch of Ayurveda which deals with prevention of diseases
through the lifestyle modification, diet counseling, following daily & seasonal regimens &
behavior, yoga & naturopathy therapies. Educating & empowering individuals with the
information to promote their health.

DEPARTMENT OF KAYACHIKITSA
Kayachikitsa is the first branch among Ashtanga Ayurveda that deals with general medicine. It
comprehensely deals with diagnosis, assessment of patients, investigation and effective
medical management of various disease according to the principles of Ayurveda.

DEPARTMENT OF PANCHKARMA
Panchkarma is a unique bio-purifacatory therapies described in Ayurveda through which
almost all the disorders mentioned in different branches of Ayurveda can be treated. Five
purification methods are followed in the Panchkarma cleansing Therapy namely, Vamana,
Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktmokshana.
Panchkarma unit provides the full range of classical panchkarma procedure with allied
procedure like sirodhara, sirovasti etc. which are found efficient in the variety of Neurological,
Musculoskeletal and skin disorder like Psoriasis, Eczema etc. There are separately specialized
set up for male and female.
DEPARTMENT OF KAUMARABHRITYA
Kaumarabhritya is one of the branches of Astanga Ayurveda which deals with the importance
of child care in Ancient Indian system of medicine. The Traditional way of baby and child care
is the backbone of healthy generation and it was beautifully explained by acharya Kashyapa.
Kaumarabhritya department aims at improving the health of the children across the globe of

DEPARTMENT OF SHALYA TANTRA
A Branch of Ayurveda which deals with ayurvedic surgery and provides a basic understanding
of the principles of modern surgery. It literally means the removal of an irritating factor from
the body.
This branch of ayurveda gives hands on information about the various pre operative
procedures, post operative procedures, marmas and anesthesia. In addition to this it describes
the various kinds of bandages, Yantras, Shastras, Sutures used in surgery.
The Shalya tantra department is having all facilities for clinical training including Ksharasarma,
Agnikarma, Raktamokshana, pre operative and post operative management. Facilities for the
minor and major operative procedures are also available under the department of Shalya
Tantra

DEPARTMENT OF SHALAKYA TANTRA
Shalakya Tantra is a branch of Ayurveda which deals with the management of diseases
occurring above the clavicle.
The department is having vast museum well equipped with various charts and models for
practical training. The OP and IP departments of Shalakya Tantra provide good clinical
exposure in dealing various ayurvedic Opthalmic and ENT diseases. Hands on training on
kriyakalpa provided in institution.
DEPARTMENT OF PRASOOTI TANTRA & STRI ROGA
Prasooti Tantra & Stri Roga is a significant branch of Ayurveda mainly dealing with the child
birth and Gynecological disorders.
Deals with the knowledge heath of women of all ages it mainly deals with the garbhini
paricharya through the clinical training and quality teaching.
This special branch deals with the special regiments for the care pregnant women also lays
down the inevitable guidelines to ensure the birth of healthy child.
The department is having various charts models specimen and a vast museum and department
library. This department provides good clinical training for the students.
